Adults with type 2 diabetes are treated with the injectable prescription medication Mounjaro (generic name: tirzepatide). In order to improve blood sugar control, it is administered in conjunction with diet and exercise. Because of its effectiveness and safety, Mounjaro is used extensively, either alone or in combination with other diabetic medications.
Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) are combined to form tirzepatide (GIP/GLP-1RA). When glucose or nutrients are consumed, it triggers the intestines’ release of GIP and GLP-1 receptors, which in turn triggers the pancreatic β cells to secrete more insulin. Additionally, it is active in brain areas that control appetite. By delaying the stomach’s emptying after meals, tirzepatide prolongs feelings of fullness and reduces hunger.
Description
Adult patients with type 2 diabetes are prescribed Mounjaro to help regulate their blood sugar levels. Four medicine vials and injection syringes, or one Kwikpen, are included with every order for a four-week supply.
